Mr. Gradman is part of the Howard Rice team that represented PMI Mortgage Insurance Co., one of the largest mortgage insurers in the country, in an action against mortgage originator WMC Mortgage Corp. and its parent, GE Money Bank, alleging misrepresentations relating to the origination and securitization of a $1 billion pool of subprime mortgages. Mr. Gradman was also involved in the representation of PMI against IndyMac Federal Bank in the Northern District of California, in which PMI sought to recover the loan files underlying over 5,000 residential mortgage loans.

Mr. Gradman continues to be involved in several matters stemming from the mortgage crisis, including representing PMI with respect to various matters as well as advising investors in mortgage-backed securities regarding their rights and potential avenues of relief for maximizing their return on these distressed investments.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Gradman was a law clerk to the Honorable Joan A. Lenard of the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida.

Mr. Gradman has launched a blog, The Subprime Shakeout, which analyzes developments in the mortgage crisis from a legal perspective.
